Bench Uncut: Underwear & Denim Fashion Show 2010!

Bench is a manufacturer and distributor of casual clothing, accessories and cosmetics. Eighteen years since Bench, the Philippines' number one fashion retail company, opened in a tiny department store corner in 1987,  and is found in over 500 boutiques, concessionaires, franchise outlets and authorized wholesalers.

Bench, symbolizes the fulfillment of Executive Creative Director Ben Chan's dream to create a Philippine fashion brand that would appeal to the young local market. Bench has won several awards both locally and internationally: 1994, Bronze Award, New York Festival for International Advertising. 1995.


Bench is a combination of the name of its Chinese-Pilipino creator –Mr. Ben Chan. Bench started as a small store selling men’s shirts only but now it has expanded into selling underwear, perfumes cosmetics, and accessories. It has also established traditional underwear shows featuring the famous Philippine showbiz stars modeling the bench underwears on the show. Moreover, bench also has contracted not only famous showbiz personalities and celebrities in the Philippines, but also an international showbiz star like the Taiwanese heartthrob Jerry Yan as a print its models.

Therefore, it's not surprising that today's post will be on the Biggest  Fashion Event in the Philippines, which is Bench's 5th Biennial Underwear & Denim Fashion Show, aptly named "Bench Uncut: A Bold Look At The Future" which was held recently on 2th July 2010 at Araneta Coliseum, Manila, Philippines.

Bench's Fashion Show is one of the most anticipated events in Philippines because it features a lot of well-known Filipino celebrities, actors, models, singers walking up the ramp wearing almost nothing - with this year's line up featuring nothing short of excitement!

Uncut is divided into five segments featuring the exquisite cultures of five different countries/continents-the Philippines, Far East, Brazil, Africa and Russia. Each segment features a top fashion designer who created the costumes of the models and celebrities who participated in the fashion show. They are Cary Santiago (Pinoy Lab), Furne One (Far East), Val Taguba (Brazil), Ezra Santos (Africa), and Michael Cinco (Russia).

Those who modelled include Benjamin Tang, Christian Bautista, Diether Ocampo, Ejay Falcon, Enchong Dee, Francheska Farr, Geoff Taylor, Georgina Wilson, Gerald Anderson, Iya Villana, Jake Cuenca, Jay-R, John Prats, Jon Avila, Karylle, Katrina Halili, Kim Chiu, Rafael Rosell, Rayver Cruz, Regine Angeles, Shaina Magdayao, Zanjoe Marudo, Carla Abellana, Aljur Abrenica, Carl Guevarra, Kris Bernal, Robi Domigo, Sam Pinto, Starstruck V: Steven Silva, Sarah Lahbati, & Rocco Nacino, Ron Morales, Coco Martin, Jome Silayan, Melai Cantiveros, Jason Francisco, and many more!
