Well, partly, or rather MAINLY, the reason for such a random post today it's because today, i'm actually kinda tired and my concentration level is somewhere between "looking at a beautiful girl" and "looking at a plain joe" - compared to "looking at a handsome gay/guy" of course! - Hehe.
I stayed up late yesterday night, hoping to book some flight tickets for AirAsia's RM1 promotions...It has been a long time since me & the Horny One, did some backpacking travel ( the last was in January 2010 ). After Airasia had ugraded their website/system, i was surprise to see that at 12.00 midnite - 1.00 am, the line was kinda smooth and i was able to check out the prices for many destinations!
Our main aim was actually Taiwan, but i found out that the promotion is only applicable for AirAsia planes -- and not AirAsia-X! Kheksei. After looking through the list of destinations, i managed to find a wonderful deal of going to Hong Kong and flying back from Macau, for only RM210/pax ( USD66 )!! And So, i happily key in the required details, and upon reaching the Final Booking process, i clicked the "Make Payment" button....
It says .."Please wait 60 seconds for us to process your booking"....And so, i waited patiently for it, SO patiently that even after a few minutes...It is still in process! - While waiting, i opened another window to browse for other good deals, only for me to be given a gift from AirAsia......saying
"We are undergoing a "quick maintenance" of our website from 1.00 am - 1.15am. We would like to apologize for the inconveniences caused during this period".
-- Celaka! And i've just clicked the "Make Payment" button where the time was 1.05am!!!!!!!! - and i did not receive any response after that either!!!!!! - What can i do?!! - I just refresh the page - lor! Kheksei! - What i'm just trying to say that, it's irresponsible for AirAsia to suddenly make a maintenance activity on it's website in the heat of booking period! Imagine for consumers like us - We don't even know whether our payment was successful or not?!!! - And the worst part was, we just got an error response and after 1.15am, the website was practically, unaccessable at all, with "Sorry, our server is kinda busy at the moment, please try again" - being our companion for the night!!!
After much failures, i decided to go to sleep at 1.45am and try to get up at 5.00 am, just to try my luck again. I did got up at at FIVE, albeit finally dragging myself up at 5.30am..Hahahaha - Lazy PIG -- and i couldn't get the good deal on the dates that i wanted with my friends -- Mind you, June, July, August is not a good month to travel to HK due to the hot, humid Summer & typhoon warnings -- So, i took a quick nap at 6.30 am....Before my alarm at 7.00 am...Only for me to overslept till 7.37 am, but yet, i still managed to reach my office and punched-in at 7.59 am ( 1 minute before 8.00 am ) - Hehehehe.
That kinda explains why i was feeling very tired and unmotivated throughout the whole day...Thank goodness i'm working with the government! Hahahahaha....
But the point here is, what if that moment of 15 minutes, the deal actually went through and your credit card was billed for it?!!! - Just FYI, i'm taking a One-Way route of KL-HK and Macau-KL -- Meaning, i need to do two transactions at a quick pace! If the first deal went through, and i didn't know about it cuz i assumed the transaction failed, in the form of receiving a booking confirmation email the next morning, it would be like giving a "heart attack" to that person because we all know that these kinda AirAsia promotions are usually a first-come-first-serve basis! Within that few hours, you are already guaranteed of getting a raw deal for the returning flight - It will definitely not a "Zero-Fare" flight anymore and you had no choice but to either make a more expensive returning flight tickets or just forfeit the money that had been billed in your credit card earlier on - for nothing!!!
-- That's why i say, AirAsia is very, very, very cunning indeed and in addition, Malaysia does not have a strong consumer protection law at all. Do you think i can SUE AirAsia and ask for compensations for billing my credit card during that "maintenance period" where the response that i got, was "error, server busy"?!!! - It's akin like comparing your car that got stolen in a shopping complex parking due to the lax security, but you can;t SUE them because the law of "park at your own risk" is strictly enforced in Malaysia?""""
- Celaka.
Anyway, i think i talked too much today - kot!...Sorry for the rants and hope yo guys will love these lovely boys in "Rayban(s)"!!!! Muacks from Simon Lover!
Haha...Does the above "Rayban Boy" look familiar?!!!

I experienced the same like you before and few times, before the critical time to confirm the payment ..waited... then system maintenance. The worst is, after refreshing the web page, the price has been replaced by a higher rate. Sigh! Now I hardly try on their zero-fare/lowest fare deal...
the last one is out of place!!! >.< Dun wan to see pic of friend when viewing hot guys, okay!
Ban: Are u saying im not hot?
takashi: Lol, dun extrapolate my comment until like that, k? You think you're not hot?

@Ban, Takashi: I've already the disclaimer oh. Don't worry, i won't cincai post pictures of guys i knew or kept in touch before, inc you Ban! =).I will opt for anonymous guys first. Hehe
@Allam: Haha.Well...There's one in my facebook oh! Hehe
@SZ: Nextm we go Medan @ Lake Toba?! =)
@Disgusting: Hmm...I think i didn't mention anytg about him being a hottie - ler.
anyway when airasia is doing promotions, it also means that they have problems in cash flows. Most ppl just book n then they can't make it and either they pay for change of bookings or wasted the whole ticket and the airport tax. Thats how airasia gain soo much profits
@Sexy Devil: Very cunning right?!- Just wanna ask..How's the prospect of a pharmacist working in a Drug Company? esp as a Product Manager? Just wanna hear some opinions fr u...Hahaha.
cheh.. i dun care wat ppl think lolx..
hmm..ur working for the govt...wonder what dept..
Re the credit card transaction hanging: happened to me before when I was using Zuji. I called them to confirm whether got through or not lor. So maybe you can do the same with AirAsia.
Or you can just call the credit card company to check and if you wish, can also ask them to void the transaction.
when Takashi said...cheh..i dont care what pple says..lol..he sounds a little upset!...angry.
sounds really messy. Coupled with ever unreliable narrow-band in our country, it can spell disaster. Anyway so u got any good offer in the end?
Don't feed the trolls. :)
