So, over the long weekend, the Horny BF followed me back to my hometown too...Actually i'm not a cinema-fanatic kinda guy due to my stingy behaviour. ( Hahahaha, no one can guess what Handphone model i'm still using now..SO so very un-gayish for a gay boy!!! Yikes )...SO, i was dragged to watch 3 movies over the weekend of which, none of them that i have read about the reviews earlier. So, basically i went into the cinema hall without any expectations or even without any idea at all what kind of movie i'm watching! -- Which is a good thing!!! I remember watching the hit Hong Kong horror-movie The Eye after hearing much synopsis about the movie from my friends. And so whn it came to the lady in the Lift alone with a ghost behind her, i was already half-expecting it to come out. So, it kinda "potong stim" if u know too much of a movie lor and i was not scared at all thruout the entire movie.. =(
First up, was District 9. I watch it in Cineleisure Mutiara Damansara, RM10 ( Hmm..Think they've changed their name ler ). It's a 2009 South African science-fiction movie produced by Peter Jackson. Well, think i won't go much into details ( i do not want to be a spoiler!! ), i found the movie is quite entertaining. Hahaha...The phrase "U focking Prawn" was used, i think -- a thousand times thruout the entire movie! -- Hehehe --The refer the Aliens as "Prawn" because they looked like one.. -- And also i find it abit ridiculous sometimes, e.g. The Aliens love cat-food =), and the conversation between Human & The Alien which both of them spoke in a different language but yet, both sides still understand what they speak.

The love story between the old man and his wife was also one of the most touching scenes that caused my tears to flow publicly!!! Sometimes, only animations can really bring the best of one's emotion compared to real-life movies hor...Till death do us part -- The saddest part is always the part when ur loved one passed away, leaving u all alone. The person who dies, doesn't feel anything at all compared to the one left behind on earth, waiting to spend the rest of their life without companionship, which definitely strike a chord in a childless gay relationship. Sob sob sob...

Lastly, it's a movie called The Orphan. ( Bukit Tinggi TGV RM8 ).Hmm...Watchin' a scary, horror, thriller movie in the month of Ghost Festival of the Chinese Calendar is, well, kinda scary.. =). Hahaha..I have never really like watching scary/ghost movies in cinema because, why must we pay so much just to get ourselves scared ler. It should be fun & entertaining ma...( well, that didn't stopped me from watching countless of ghost movies thruout my entire life lor...Rmbr all those Japs, Korean, Thai horror movies? ) -- Well, again, the movie was out-of-my expectations too. The children played their character really well and of cuz, who would have imagined that the gal in the pic below can really scared the hell out of u!!!!

LOL. I did MY research, okay?
hence no unnecessary throwing of $$$ down the drain. UP was such a brilliant movie, an almost surreal, uplifting experience.
don't think about living life alone. ever.
i wanna watch orphan... even tho i know the spoiler jor. hahaha.
I wanna watch District 9 and the Orphan. Not so much into anime. :P Nice review without being the spoiler! Good job. :)

seriously, all 3 movies were good. UP is undoubtedly THE movie of the year, no robots, wizards, or superheroes come close.
Orphan was a runaway hit, at least to me. and i vividly remember the image of someone's ankle breaking.
i think u can suggest some good movie for us in future, haaaaaaaaa.
Thanks for recommending Distric9.
Definitely a must watch sci-fi!
